MicroProse, leading publisher of high quality leisure software, is 
proud to announce the release of Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix 2 for 
the IBM PC CD ROM - the long-awaited sequel to the highly successful
Formula One Grand Prix - setting new standards in high quality, 
ultra realistic racing simulations.


Grand Prix 2 is a true simulation of the Grand Prix racing season 
featuring realistically modelled, high performance Formula One cars 
and finely detailed representations of Formula One racing tracks 
such as Monza, Silverstone and Hockenheim.

Using texture mapping and accurate light sourcing, the cars are 
exquisitely detailed and glint in the light of the sun adding to 
the atmosphere of the occasion. As well as improved graphics and 
sound, the artificial intelligence has been upgraded to offer a 
greater, more realistic challenge to the player.

The cars now race in a full pitching and rolling environment where 
curbing affects the performance of the car and certain tracks have 
banked corners which affect speed and traction. A distance hazing 
effect is also visible as racing sponsors' advertising boards come 
into focus as you hurtle around the track.
